Some weddings feel like a scene from a classic film, and this wedding at the Willows in Villanova – working alongside the insanely talented Sierra Archer – was just that. With the lush grounds as their backdrop, champagne colored gowns and pure white roses in every hand, the day radiated elegance and glamour.
Kelsey looked like she stepped right off a silver screen – graceful, poised, with a beauty reminiscent of old Hollywood. Chris couldn’t take his eyes off her as she walked down the aisle. All day long a storm seemed to be looming, with bursts of sunshine alternating with dark clouds, creating a certain drama in Kelsey’s portraits that I now wish I could recreate at every wedding. The rain held off until a few moments before the ceremony began, but not even a huge thunderclap as they began their vows could ruin the magic of those moments.
The ceremony quickly moved indoors, but Kelsey and Chris stood together, hand in hand, smiles steady, hearts full, until the storm eventually passed.
Their wedding shows how beautiful a wedding in the rain can be. All is truly not lost if the rain pours. There is still SO much magic, and love, and beauty in these pictures and I am so proud to share them here with you.
